Well the main charcters are Scout a young girl, her brother Jem, their dad Atticus Finch. <br /><br />Scout has just gone to school on the 1stday and has had a few encounters with her teacher , Miss Caroline, one of which a boy called Walter Cunningham. The cunningham's are a proud family who don't anything which they can't pay back, they a re a poor family but get along. Also Walter has failed the 1st year 3 times now because he helps his dad on the farm,<br /><br />Also Scout met one of the Ewell boys, they are aslo poor but The town of Maycomb where they live lets them 'bend' the law as such. Anyway we have been reading this book called 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' by Haper Lee, at first it was well dull and boring and just background story, little hard to follow!
